Los Agricultores Del Varillal Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy compost, fertilizer, micro-nutrient sprays, herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, etc.

Los Agricultores Del Varillal Group's story

Santos, 42, is in a stable relationship and has two children. He is a farmer and for the past four years has made a living growing basic grains.

He is requesting a new loan from Fundenuse, with Kiva funds, to buy farming supplies to grow beans and to maintain two acres of coffee crops, so he can fertilize and improve the production for the 2021-2022 cycle.

The previous Kiva loan was very beneficial. Without it he would not have been able to maintain the crops, and instead he was able to harvest 15 quintals from two acres, keeping some for his own consumption and also pay the loan. All this despite the hurricanes ETA and IOTA.

His goal is to buy more land to farm coffee and improve his house.

He belongs to the group “Los Agricultores del Varillal” together with Maria, Sofia, and Reyes, who also make a living working in agriculture.
