A loan helped to buy sheep and goats to resell.

Takku Liguey Kaffate Group's story

Adame is the president of the Takku Liguey Kaffate community group, which means "roll up the sleeves and work." She is 32 years old, married, and lives with her three children who are 6-10 years old. All of her children are in school.

Adame plans to put her children in a very good position with the profits of the loan, and to take care of the needs of the family, in particular the children. Due to a lack of means and support, she has turned to the microfinance institution to buy goats and sheep to resell and revitalize her business.

She is an uneducated Senegalese woman and has raised animals for five years. She stocks up at the cattle market in her community. For this reason, she has customers at this site so she can sell off her sheep and goats. The 30 women who compose this group are very united and have the same goals: to know how to build up their businesses with this loan, in order to take care of their children who are still at risk.
