Angela Eilin's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to harvest cocoyam.

Angela Eilin's story

Meet Angela Eilin!

Angela lives with her parents in rural East Panama, in the community of El Zapallal .

Angela is a young entrepreneur that has recently graduated from high school and works with her parents in a small farming business. Angela participated in a Business Telebrigade as a client with Global Brigades, where she learned different business principles like developing a business plan, financial projections, basic accounting and marketing to apply in her agricultural venture.

Angela has already planted 3 hectares of cocoyam and has already harvested one hectare. Today, Angela is asking for a loan to harvest the two remaining hectares of cocoyam she has in her farm. In order to harvest it, Angela needs to pay temporary local workers from the community and the transportation costs to bring her produce to the distribution centre. Normally, people from her community harvest cocoyam, store it to wait for the price to go up and sell it for a higher amount later to large companies from Panama city.

Thank you for contributing to Angela's first Kiva loan and support her first business endeavour.
