Santos, 48, is currently single. She has had to work all her life to raise her children. She has eight children, 3 boys and 5 girls and all of them are now adults.

She again applies for a loan at Fundenuse with Kiva funds to purchase fertilizer for coffee and to purchase pigs to rear.

Apart from agriculture, she makes bread for sale. She also buys merchandise in order to sell. She has 2 blocks of land and her house.

She has been working on loans with Fundenuse for 3 years and has invested in growing coffee and basic grains. She says that she is grateful for the opportunity that has been offered to her since the loans have been of great help to her. Her agricultural production has improved and her coffee farm is increasing.

She belongs to the solidarity group "Bendición de Dios Manchones" along with Samuel and Vilma who are also engaged in agriculture.
