Lisa Marie's story
I am a life-long crafter and I am married to a talented oil painting artist. I grew up in the Napa Valley area and learned my artistic and crafting skills from my Mother and as a member of 4-H at a young age. I enjoy creating hand-crafted and sewing projects with crafting a wide variety of materials and mediums, which range from paper, cork fabric to recycled wine barrels and wine bottles. I started Oak Street Fine Art & Crafts from my makeshift sewing room in our home in 2018. Since 2018 we have expanded to showcasing and selling our items in several venues and online. We sell our art and hand-crafted items through local farmers’ markets, craft, and art shows, and through our website and various online sites. Our mission at Oak Street Fine Art & Crafts is to share our passion and creation of fine art and handcrafted craft items. One of the guiding principles of our shop is that everyone should be able to enjoy fine art and hand-crafted items. Our shop and its items are a convenient and interactive space for both art enthusiasts and purchasers of unique hand-crafted products, and pieces that cater to a wide array of tastes. I am excited to expand our business by offering workshops, classes, and project kits for novice to experienced artists and crafters. Additionally, we will be offering specialized workshops and kits for individuals (adults and children) with special needs. This is a passion of mine: as I am a Deaf artist/crafter, and also have physical limitations. Additionally, I have been a Special Education Specialist since 2007 and my husband and I have adult children and a few grandchildren with special needs.
