A loan helped to buy 150 chicks and provisions to ensure their fattening.

Clémence's story

Clémence is a woman of age 45. She is married and has three children. She lives in a neighborhood on the edge of town.

She is involved in raising chickens for meat for about six years. She also makes and sells "cacas pigeon" [a fried snack]. Her husband is an electrician. The couple pulls together for the well-being of their household.

She wishes to obtain some chickens to raise. She needs to reinforce her financial capital. She thus decided to rejoin Vahatra to take out a loan. She will fatten up her chickens and sell them to regular, loyal clients in her town. She is therefore asking for the support of lenders to buy 150 chicks and provisions to ensure they fatten up.

She will save up, with plans to build a family home in the future.
