Timaima's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to revive her fuel business selling kerosene, benzene and premix.

Timaima's story

In the aftermath of a natural disaster, emotions can run high as anxiety and hopelessness can settle in. Such emotions are normal responses, especially when modes of communication and transportation can become limited or entirely impossible.

In the early hours of a fateful morning in December 2020, a tropical cyclone ravaged Timaima’s village, leaving a trail of ruin as many lost their homes and their hopes of rebuilding what was built from a lifetime of sacrifice and toil.

However, this mother of four is not one to lose hope in the face of calamity. Timaima needs a loan to revive her fuel business and she is confident that her business will be profitable. Fuels are needed for daily activities, and she expects that personnel from government and foreign nations will be her customers as well.

A loan would help Timaima in her efforts to be visionary when it is normal to see the glass as half empty. Her optimism sees her smiling as she poses from her temporary shelter, which was once a house, and her entrepreneurial skills should ensure her success.
