Sandy's story

Sandy S. is a young, hardworking woman. She has a small hardware store. She sells cement, sand, PVC tubing, paint and also a few appliances. She started this buiness in 2008 as a family activity and she learned this business because her parents taught her. Since 2002, she has been preparing for and studying business administration to do her job better every day. At present, she has 3 employees and very little competition in the area, so her turnover is fast. That is why she does her purchasing every week and sells every day from Monday through Sunday from 7:00 a.m until 4:00 p.m. This is her first loan that Sandy has asked for from Fundación Mario Santo Domingo. With it she will buy cement, PVC tubing and blocks, as well as appliances with a high turnover, since she doesn't have any. Her dream since she was very young has been is to have her own home, but more than anything she wants to finish her professional studies. Sandy is a very special young woman who lives in a very busy area near the Murillo street of Barranquilla and she is also a neighbor of the soccer stadium “El Estadio Metropolitano” where her beloved Baranquiila team plays: El Junior.
