Yvette's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase new patterned fabric and sewing materials in order to stock her business, and also to buy cordial so she can provide cool drinks to her valuable customers.

Yvette's story

Yvette lives in one of the largest villages on Efate island, where the main industry is agriculture. Despite Covid-19, Ni-Vanuatu has made tremendous income on agriculture as the demand for local products is high.

Yvette is 50 years old and has one son who is 22. She lives with her son and his wife and daughter in her own house.

Yvette has requested a loan to purchase new patterned fabric and sewing materials in order to stock her business, and also to buy cordial so she can provide cool drinks to her valuable customers. She has been in her business for over 10 years now.

Covid-19 has affected a lot of her customers so she has offered affordable prices to her customers. Yvette dreams of opening up her own storefront where she can sell her products to locals and visitors that pass by.

This is Yvette's second loan with South Pacific Business Development (Vanuatu) Ltd. She has faithfully repaid her previous loan in a timely manner. Through her loans, Yvette is motivated to expand her business so she can better provide for her family and become a successful businesswoman.
