Linda Vema Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase 10 bales of second-hand clothing, which will strengthen her initial capital.

Linda Vema Group's story

Charlotte is a client with the MFI, Hekima, and runs the business group, Linda Vema. She is a widow, 52 years old, and mother of 6 children, 2 who are in school and 2 have finished.

She sells second-hand clothing. She started this business 11 years ago with start-up funds received from her income-generating activity. Later, she became involved with the Hekima program to support her business, which has progressed gradually.

With this new loan, she will purchase 10 bales of second-hand clothing, which will strengthen her initial capital. The challenge her business faces is linked to a lack of customers.

She would like for her children to continue to study and to build a house.

Lastly, she would like to thank Hekima and their partners for the support given to business owners without access to traditional banking facilities in the context of the Covid-19 global crisis.

The photo is of only the group leader because of Covid-19 to respect social distancing measures.
