Raitieli's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy building materials and the initial stocks to continue her canteen business.

Raitieli's story

Raitieli could do nothing but pray as Tropical Cyclone Yasa damaged her home and threatened to take the lives of her family members.

Since December 2020, her family including her husband and 5 children have been sheltered at the local evacuation center. The space is crowded and because of the lack of resources, the standard of hygiene is compromised and this could lead to the spread of diseases.

As a concerned mother, Raitieli hopes to get a loan to repair their family home, providing some stability for their family as the school year has begun. In her hopes to be financially prepared for daily expenses and unanticipated events, Raitieli hopes to continue her home operated canteen selling groceries, fuels and provide e-services (Mpaisa e-wallet).

Helping to rebuild the life of a family and empowering a woman will create a ripple effect that positively impacts family, community, and ultimately the nation.
