Akeia-Marie's story

Growing up seeing those Carolina blue sky’s, open country fields will always be a fond memory of my childhood. Seeing my Mother, as well as other family members, use the very land they lived on to grow the food we ate, to grow the herbs they would use to make natural elixirs, and teach me the laws of the land when pertaining to wellness, has been vital to my development. On that same land is where my complete love for nature and its creations came to fruition. By the age of 7 after my first Mcdonald's experience, was when I removed the meat from my cheeseburger kids meal (essentially desiring a grilled cheese) is when I told my mother I no longer wanted to eat meat, and that I wanted a pet pig. She looked from her rearview mirror smiling in admiration, as she gave pleasing confirmation to my new found journey. Decades later and the journey has turned into my complete mission to cook and heal with plant-based and all-natural alternatives. The mission became personal once my Mother suffered a stroke, leaving her paralyzed. So now this passion for holistic preventive healing, plant-based cooking, and the balance of mind and spirit are no longer just geared to care for my Mother; but create overall alternative preventive wellness for all.
