Twiyubake Tcb Group's story
Marie is a 43-year-old mother of seven children, who are aged between 8 and 20 years old. Her husband is a farmer and, for the past 15 years, she has been selling foodstuffs.
She is the leader of the group called Twiyubake Tcb, which in English means ‘Let's build ourselves’. Group members sell different items and own a variety of businesses.
Marie will use her loan to buy more maize and beans to sell in her community and to meet customer demand. With the profits from her sales, she hopes to be able to provide school fees for the children and also increase her savings culture. Marie is thankful for your support.
Due to the global pandemic, Urwego was not able to get a photograph of all the group members. The photograph is of Marie, the group representative.
