Jepkorir's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase farm inputs, such as fertilizer and good-quality seeds, to improve her crop production.

Jepkorir's story

The lovely woman who appears in the photo is Jepkorir. She is a 26-year-old mother of two children who are in school. Jepkorir lives in Nakuru, a town surrounded by prime agricultural lands that favor large-scale grain, dairy, and crop farming. She is a mixed farmer with many years of experience. Thanks to her daily efforts, she has managed to give her family a good start by providing them with a good quality of life. Her family members are very supportive in helping her sell her produce.

Though she dearly loves crop farming, her farm is at risk of attack by crop pests and diseases. For a poor, rural farmer, the treatment of crop diseases requires an increase in the total operational costs to the extent that, in most cases, the amount of capital invested to produce a desired yield surpasses the value of the output harvested. The remedy is to use certified seeds that are resistant to pests and diseases.

Jepkorir is seeking a loan to buy farm inputs, such as seeds and fertilizer. A loan will enable her to improve her crop production through the use of quality farm inputs. With this investment, she will be able to improve the quality of her farm products and attract more buyers, which will lead to more profits. Jepkorir would appreciate a loan during this month of celebrating women.
