Melvin's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy chicken, menudo, dairy products, cold meats, juices, etc.

Melvin's story

Melvin, age 28 and single, is a young entrepreneur. Four years ago, he started a small business selling popular items, using savings from his harvest of basic grains. He comes from a country family. When he was very young, he learned to work the land, helping his parents with household chores. Now he is in his fifth year of studies for a degree in nursing, in the rural university program that exists in his community. His greatest desire is to use his profession to help people.

He requests a loan from Fundenuse with Kiva funds to buy chicken, menudo, dairy products, juices, etc. This will permit him to diversify the products that he offers to his clients, and to help increase his sales. Because this is the new season for bean production, it is a good time to invest. The credit will be of much help towards improving his business. His future plans are to continue increasing his business and to grow coffee.
