Pewal Dialacoumbi Group's story

Djina is the leader of the Pewal Dialacoumbi Group which means "integrity" in the Peul language. Djina is thirty-five years old and is engaged in raising animals just like the other women in the group. She is married and the mother of five children, including one daughter, all of whom attend school and range in age from five to eighteen years old.

The group is made up of six dynamic women with strong ties of solidarity who decided to unite their strength to apply for a loan to develop their animal-raising businesses. Djina has a solid background in this business that she has been practicing for ten years. She wants to grow her business in order to increase her turnover. She stocks up in the surrounding villages and resells her products at local weekly markets and in neighbouring countries located a few kilometers from her regions.

With the benefits from her business, she supports her husband with the family expenses such as school fees, health care costs and food etc. Access to loans is of the utmost importance for the group.
