A loan helped to purchase fertilizers.

Julio Cesar's story

The best pipian and ayote squash and melon are harvested by Julio. He has been working for approximately 25 years in this business. He is one of the most productive farmers in his region, for the great quantity of fruits and vegetables he harvests which are always of excellent quality. All his neighbors know him as a friendly, persistent, and hard-working person.

Previously, he got a Kiva loan with MiCrédito to purchase ayote and melon seeds, and also fertilizers and soil amendments to maintain the crop.

This time, he came back to ask for another loan from MiCrédito, with the support of Kiva, to be able to purchase fertilizers and nitrates, and to pay the people who support him in this upcoming harvest.

In the not-too-distant future, he wants to purchase hoses and tubing for the irrigation of his crops, so to keep his plants continuously fresh.
