Violeta Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy machinery for weaving.

Violeta Group's story

Lourdes is a hardworking 43-year-old woman. She is a single mother of two children, a fifteen-year-old daughter and a six-year-old son. Both are in school. She is also the president of the "Violeta" communal bank. In the photo, she is identified with a blue box. We can also see Monica with her little son. We covered his face to protect his identity.

The members of the communal bank are small business owners or are dedicated to offering services; they sell food and sell used clothing.

Lourdes has applied for a loan to buy a weaving machine. For three years, she has made textiles for Bolivian women's polleras (traditional skirts).

All of the members of the communal bank wish to improve their earnings in order to improve their quality of life and that of their families.
