01_Fogny 2 Group's story

This group consists of three women who are part of the banc villageois founded in their area in April 2010. The women are friends who live in the same village and share good relations. They reimbursed several loans without difficulty. Their main activity is trade.

Ndéye Astou, the group representative, is standing on the left of the photo with her hand raised. She is 37 years old, married and has two daughters and one son who all go to school. Ndéye Astou works in fresh fish trade. She buys them in wholesale at the towns' docks and sells them at the market. She has ten years' experience in this sector.

With this loan, she wants to buy three crates of fresh fish and cover the transportation costs. She has a loyal customer base who order from her.

The profits will help her strengthen her savings at the banc villageois and to cover her expenses.
