Abdul's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to produce more maize and soy seeds to sell, in order to increase his family's income.

Abdul's story

Abdul is a 62-year-old Mozambican man. He is married, and he lives with his wife and their six lovely children.

Abdul is a well-known producer of seeds in his village. He grows grain seeds like maize, peanuts, beans, and soy. Thanks to this activity, he is able to sustain his family as well as send his children to school.

Abdul has a regular market that often demands seeds. Because of that, he also helps smallholder farmers around him, buying the grain seeds from them. Since the season for growing grains is coming closer, Abdul needs to get prepared in order to have better yields in his farm.

The demand for maize and soy seeds will certainly increase, and Abdul wants to continuously address the needs of the market. For this reason he is requesting his third Kiva loan, to produce more maize and soy seeds to sell, in order to increase his family income.
