Chokola Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy five bags of beans to bolster her initial capital.

Chokola Group's story

Madame Mapendo is a client of IMF Hekima and the treasurer of the "Chokola" village group. She is married, 48 years old, and the mother of 11 children who all go to school. Her partner works for the government.

She sells food and started this business eight years ago with startup capital from his husband. Later on, she joined Hekima's loan program to support her business, which has grown over time.

With this new loan, she will buy five bags of beans to bolster her initial capital. The challenge with her activity is a lack of clients.

She wants her children to continue to go to school and she wants to renovate her home. In closing, she wants to thank Hekima and their partners for the support they bring to non-bankable businesses in the context of the COVID-19 global crisis. The photo is only of the group leader due to COVID-19 and social distancing measures.
