Tusimame Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to stock up on fry, potatoes, rice, beans, and oil to strengthen her initial capital.

Tusimame Group's story

Victorine is a client of the microfinance institution Hekima and leader of the Tusimame groupe villageoise. She is married, forty-five years old and the mother of five children who all attend school. Her partner is without work.

She sells food in a restaurant. She started her business eight years ago with start-up funds she received from a savings group. Later, she joined Hekima's program to support her business as it developed gradually. With this new loan, she will stock up on fry, potatoes, rice, beans, and oil, which will strengthen her initial capital. The challenge of her business is related to a lack of stock.

She would like her children to continue with their studies and she would also like to build a house. Finally, she would like to thank Hekima and its partners for supporting business owners without access to traditional banking services, especially during the Covid-19 global pandemic. Only the group leader is shown in the photo due to Covid-19 in accordance with social distancing guidelines.
