Philbert's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase items in bulk for resale.

Philbert's story

Philbert is an evolved entrepreneur who runs a grocery store in the Mahama refugee camp in Rwanda. He started the business with just $150 but he was able to grow it a lot.

His status as a refugee did not stop him from starting a business and providing for his family. His previous loans with Kiva which he has fully paid have helped him increase his inventory and also increase customer satisfaction.

Philbert is a hardworking man who strives to make his businesses one of the best in the camp. Another loan to Philbert will help him purchase inventory in bulk so that he can reduce transport costs of purchasing in small quantities twice a month.
