Carlos Jose's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase soil amendments and supplies.

Carlos Jose's story

Growing coffee, corn, and beans is what Carlos is passionate about. He is just 41 years old, working in agriculture on land inherited from his father. He has 2 children in his care, who are the driving force to continue achieving the goals he sets for himself. His family is who supports him in each harvest and coffee collection, to then sell it at the nearest market to his community.

With the hope of continuing growing with his business, he asked for a loan from MiCrédito, with the support of Kiva, to be able to purchase soil amendments and bean and corn seeds for this harvest season which is approaching.

In the not-too-distant future, he wants to continue getting the support of Kiva and MiCrédito to purchase new land and extend his production of the golden coffee bean which is characteristic of the region.
