Luz Marina's story
For the past 6 years, Luz has been a businesswoman in the capital; she makes a living selling Nicaraguan tamales and tortillas. With her husband's help, she has been able to move forward toward better economic well-being. She has requested a loan previously from Kiva and Micrédito, which helped her to integrate vegetable sales, with the goal of meeting her customers' needs.
Currently she has opted for another loan from Kiva and Micrédito to diversify her business because she wants to set up a line of clothing. It will include t-shirts, dresses, and pants for adults as well as children. Her vision for the future is to be able to have the best conditions at her work location in order to give her customers excellent service.
