Synthya's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to gain access to cost-efficient hybrid seeds and fertilizer for maize cultivation.

Synthya's Group's story

Synthya, featured in the above picture, is representing her farming group formed by 8 farmers in Alego District, Kenya. She is 21 years old and a married mother of four children, often described as a very hardworking individual.

Synthya has been a farmer for six years and is new to One Acre Fund. She decided to join this year because she really wants to earn enough to feed her family. Even though she is new to the program, Synthya wanted to represent her group because she wants to help more farmers. With the profits earned from this season’s harvest, Synthya hopes to be able to buy a cow.

With this loan, the group will receive farm inputs to plant a total of five acres of land. They will also receive a total of six solar lights.
