Jibu Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy sacks of potatoes, which will strengthen her initial capital.

Jibu Group's story

Ms. Leonie is a client of Hekima MFI and chairs the village group "JIBU". She is married, 52 years old and the mother of 11 children who all go to school. Her partner is a travelling merchant.

She is a potato seller. She started this business in 1990 with the start-up funds received from her husband. Later she involved the Hekima program to support her business, during which she gradually evolved. With this new loan, she will purchase sacks of potatoes, which will strengthen her initial capital. The challenge of her business is related to the rotting of the potatoes.

She would like her children to continue studying and also to buy a plot of land.

Finally, she would like to thank Hekima and its partners for the support provided to owners of non-bankable businesses in this context of the global covid-19 crisis. The photo only shows the leader of the group due to covid-19 in compliance with social distancing measures.
