Residenciales El Campo 2 Group's story

The solidarity group “Residenciales El Campo 2” (Residential Area 2) consists of three members: Reina Isabel P. P., Elbia O., and Santos Blacina P.. They live in Juticalpa, Olancho.

Sra. Reina Isabel P. P. is 50 years old, widowed, and has five children. She started a mini-grocery 12 years ago with a loan of 2000 HNL and it later grew into a mini-supermarket. In 2003, her husband became ill and she had to sell the business in order to pay for his medical expenses. Now she sells secondhand clothing as a traveling merchant. Reina has a good customer base and her children help with selling clothes. With a loan of 5000 HNL, she will buy a bundle of high-quality secondhand clothing. She will also use her savings to buy three additional bundles. This loan will enable her grow her business and increase her earnings so that she can support her family and get ahead. Her dreams include building her own home and seeing her children continue their studies.

Elbia O. sells vegetables and will use her loan to buy vegetables in bulk so that she can increase her earnings.

Santos Blacina P. sells cosmetics and will use her loan to buy more beauty products to expand her inventory and increase her earnings to get ahead.
