Upendo Maendeleo Group's story

Georgette is a customer of the IMF Hekima and presides over the business group « UPENDO MAENDELEO ». She is married, 47 years old and the mother of six children, five of whom are in school and one of whom is already finished. Her partner is a warehouse man.
She is a clothing saleswoman. She started this business six years ago with start up funds received from her husband. Later she involved the Hekima program to support her business, over the course of which she has progressively developed. With this new loan, she is going to stock with clothing and lwomen's shoes, which will build up her working capital. The challenge of her business is tied to the lack of customers.
She would like for her children to continue to study and to develop her business. Finally, she wishes to thank Hekima and it's partners for the support given to nonbankable business owners in this environment of the global crisis tied to COVID-19. The photo is only of the group leader because of COVID-19 and respecting the social distancing measures.
