Namonies's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase grocery and food items in bulk from Nairobi and Kitale.

Namonies's story

Namonies is a young Ethiopian refugee living at the Kakuma Refugee Camp in Kenya. He fled violence in his home country in 2012 and after some time in Kenya, sought ways to improve his livelihood. He started a grocery store and, to date, it has been experiencing steady and stable growth.

The growth of the store has enabled Namonies to hire four employees who help in the daily operations. The business exhibits signs of further growth as it is strategically located, and the products relatively priced in comparison to similar stores around the camp.

The business is in a stage that requires external financing for expansion of the operations. A loan to Namonies will enable him venture into supplies by purchasing the grocery and food items in bulk from Nairobi and Kitale so as to expand his clientele. This will allow him to continue serving his clients with options and keep growing his business.
