Ruth's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more oranges and pineapples to sell.

Ruth's story

Meet 45-year-old Ruth from Liberia. She lives with her partner and three children. Her children are schooling and live at home. Ruth attended school up to third grade.

Ruth's partner works as a builder to earn extra income, while Ruth is a hardworking business woman who sells vegetables and fruits, such as oranges, pineapples, etc. She started to sell with her own little savings and learned how to sell from her mother. She sells Monday through Saturday. Ruth likes her business because it keeps her busy.

She has asked for a loan through BRAC Liberia, a Kiva Field Partner, to buy more oranges and pineapples to sell to her good customers.

In the future, she wants to build a home and continue her children's education.

Ruth appreciates BRAC and Kiva lenders for the financial support.
