Patience's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more ingredients to prepare cooked food to sell.

Patience's story

This is 39-year-old Patience, from Liberia. She lives with her husband and three children who live at home while schooling. Patience attended school up to the 12th grade. She is a hard-working business woman who sells cooked food. She started her business seven years ago to help her husband with some household expenses.

Patience's aunt gave her some funds to start the business and she learned how to sell from her late uncle. To maintain her business, Patience requested a loan through BRAC Liberia, a Kiva field partner, to buy more ingredients to prepare cooked food to sell. She likes her business because it helps to support her family and she is proud of her business because it sends her children to school.

Her dreams for the future are to build her own store and continue her children's education. She is grateful for the financial support rendered.
