Rafaela's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy pesticides and fertilizer to care for her coffee plants.

Rafaela's story

Rafaela is an older woman who stands out for being a person with good values and a responsible and honest character. She has worked in agriculture for many years, growing coffee and turmeric. She also has a store located in a rural area, where most of the population works in ranching and farming. Her family are her main support, with much love and dedication.

Her first loan in Micrédito was used to do maintenance on her coffee crop. Today she has been given the opportunity to turn to a Kiva loan with Micrédito to buy different lines of products. This way, she can provide a wide variety of options to her customers in her store. She will also be purchasing pesticides and fertilizer to care for her coffee plants.

Her plans for the near future are to obtain a new loan to buy more land where she can plant and harvest not just coffee, but other grains to expand her business.
