Sabina's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase hybrid seeds and fertilizer to improve harvests of maize.

Sabina's Group's story

Pictured above is Sabina, often described as an extremely hardworking individual. She is 46 years old and has eight children. As a group leader, she is representing her group of 11 farmers in Matete District, Kenya.

Sabina is returning this season to work with One Acre Fund again, as this means that she is able to get the best-quality fertilizer and hybrid seeds, which is why she decided to join in the first place. Sabina says that she is happy to have made that decision because, since she first joined in 2016, she has been able to consistently feed her family, which has improved her day-to-day life significantly. Sabina will use the profits from this season to buy chickens.

The group will use this loan to purchase seeds and fertilizer to plant a total of eight acres. Given that some members of the group will also be purchasing a solar light with this loan, the group will also receive a total of six solar lights.
