A loan helped to purchase additional grocery and food stock for the business.

Alsadik's story

Alsadik is a skilled entrepreneur living in Kakuma refugee camp in Kenya. He owns and runs a grocery store business at the camp. He started the business in 2018, and to date, he has been able to considerably grow it over the years. The store is strategically located and attracts a good number of both refugee and host community clients. The products at the store are also reasonably priced, hence, giving him an edge over the rest of the similar businesses at the camp.

Alsadik actively participated in African Entrepreneur Collective’s business training program focused on financial management and increasing sales for micro businesses at the camp. He is successfully applying the skills learnt in managing his business, which now boasts of improved cash flows and efficiency.

A loan to Alsadik will enable him to purchase additional grocery and food stock for the store, hence, allowing him to continue serving his community with consumption options.
