A loan helped to buy farming inputs to improve production and make more income to support her family.

Lenah's story

Lenah is a 66-year-old mother of 3 school-going children. She lives in Kitale, a town where the main economic activities include agricultural processing, particularly in crop farming. She is a mixed dairy and crop farmer who has farmed for few years to support her family.

The major impediment to the development of smallholder farms in Kenya is a lack of short-term credit facilities. Juhudi Kilimo, in partnership with Kiva, is working hard to support smallholder farmers in Kenya through financing, therefore guaranteeing their survival.

Lenah is seeking this loan to buy farming inputs to improve her production and make more income to support her family. Be inspired to light up her flames of hope for success with just a loan.
