Talaifina's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to renovate their little house and turn it into a big house for their family.

Talaifina's story

Talaifina is a mother of two children. She is married to a farmer and they live in their own home, a little one-room wooden house. Talaifina runs a weaving business and her husband takes care of their plantation. Talaifina learned to weave when they got married, but her husband was a full-time farmer so that is their main source of income.

Talaifina's husband supports her weaving business by planting pandanus trees at the plantation to make pandanus available to her. She weaves with a group of women. They weave almost every day, enabling more weaving to be done than weaving alone. Talaifina saves her Saturdays from weaving so she can take their crops to the local market and sell them. Her weavings mainly sell to relatives overseas only. Their next plan is to export a crops container overseas to earn enough money for their renovation plan.

Talaifina applied for this loan to start the renovation plan for their house. They need a good and big house for their children to grow up in, and this loan will implement the plan.
