A loan helped to purchase a bag of flour, sugar, yeast, cooking oil, and a cooking pot to better provide for her valuable customers.

Leiwas Hannah's story

Leiwas Hannah is 44 years of age and is happily married to a carpenter. She has four children, ages 22, 20, 18 and 4. Her two eldest are no longer in school; her two youngest are in school. She lives with her husband and children in her own home, which is located in a village on an offshore island on the northern side of Efate island. Her community is very small, and the main industry is aquaculture. As Covid-19 has affected the world, it has been hard to earn a steady income.

Leiwas Hannah has requested a loan to purchase a bag of flour, sugar, yeast, cooking oil, and a cooking pot, which she needs to produce delicious bread and gateaux for her valuable customers. She wants to increase her product quantity as the demand has grown. This will help increase her revenue, which she will use to pay for her children's school fees. She has been baking since 2019 and loves doing it.

This is Leiwas Hannah's second loan with South Pacific Business Development (Vanuatu) Ltd. She faithfully repaid her previous loan on time. Through her loan, Leiwas Hannah is motivated to expand her business so she can provide the best education for her children to have a promising future.
