Josephine's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy cost efficient maize seeds and fertilizer for the coming season, as well as two solar lights.

Josephine's Group's story

Josephine is a 53-year-old proud mother of four. She's a group leader, often described as a very experienced farmer, and is representing her group of 11 farmers in Lugari District. Since joining One Acre Fund in 2016, she's noticed she's been able to save more money.

She described her harvest last year as good, but believes she can have a better one this year by continuing to work with One Acre Fund. Josephine is very excited to also be purchasing two solar lights, in addition to fertilizer and maize, because she'll now be able to have an overall improved quality of life. With the profits from this season’s harvest, she plans to buy a cow.

With this loan, Josephine’s Group will be able to plant a total of 7½ acres and purchase a total of six solar lights.
