Jescah's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy cost-efficient maize seeds and fertilizer for the coming harvesting season.

Jescah's Group's story

Pictured above is Jescah, who, as a group leader, is representing her group formed by eight farmers in Lugari District, Kenya. She is a mother to six children and is known by her community as a very hardworking individual.

Jescah initially joined One Acre Fund in 2014 because she wanted to have access to quality training and to acquire new farming methods. She says that her life has improved since she joined the program, especially because she has been able to consistently feed her family. With the profits from the coming harvesting season, Jescah plans to send her children to school.

Among the eight farmers in Jescah's Group, a total of 7.5 acres of land will be planted using the maize seeds and fertilizer received with the loan.
