Kisagazi Farmers, Mubende Group's story

32-year-old Agiri B. has, for the last ten years, been plying her retail shop business in Kisaagazi, Mubende. With this business, which mostly deals in home utensils like basins, cups, lamps, candles and jerrycans, this married woman has significantly improved her family’s welfare. All her three children are happily in good schools. Agiri began this business with savings from her farming business. She credits her success to hard work, determination and resilience. Her plan is to turn her retail shop into a wholesale franchise in the near future. In a week, she makes profits that add up to 50,000 shillings. With this loan, she wants to purchase more retail items in bulk for her shop so that she does not incessantly run out of stock.
