Burulkan's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase seed, fertilizers and a cover for a greenhouse to grow organic watermelons.

Burulkan's story

Burulkan successfully repaid her loan. She is very grateful to the Kiva Foundation and everyone who helped finance her. Today, her farm has 50 sheep and a land share of 0.74 hectares of land where she grows watermelons.

To further develop her business, she again applied to Bai-Tushum Bank for a loan in the amount of 80,000 soms (KGS) for the purchase of fertilizers, seeds and greenhouse cover for growing organic watermelons.

Burulkan plans to invest the proceeds from the loan in the further expansion of the business by building a barn, and use part of the proceeds to renovate her house.
