A loan helped to purchase livestock to increase her income from breeding livestock.

Halcha's story

This wonderful woman is Halcha. She is 45 years old, married, and raising three children. She has a secondary education. Since 2010, she has been engaged in animal husbandry and crop agriculture for her family's main source of income. Thanks to Halcha's persistent hard work and her husband's help with the farm, at present her farm has two cows, 35 sheep, one horse, and 1 hectare of irrigated land where she grows organic watermelons.

In order to further develop her farm, Halcha is requesting financial support of 120,000 som (KGS) from Kiva to purchase livestock so as to increase her income from breeding livestock and fattening them up for resale. The funds from the loan will help her to develop her farm by increasing the number of livestock she has.
