Lespeth's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase bags of flour, cooking oil, yeast, and sugar to produce delicious donuts and increase her income.

Lespeth's story

Lespeth lives in a rural district located 10 minutes' drive to Port Vila International Airport. She is 36 years old and has a partner who is a carpenter. Lespeth also has 3 adorable children, age 16, 11, and 2. She lives with her partner and children in their own home.

Lespeth's community is quite large, and the main industries are agriculture and fishing. Vanuatu has a tropical climate, which brings its challenges: it has been raining a lot during this cyclone season, and there has been a lot of flooding, which has caused muddy coastal areas and farms to lose their crops. These circumstances have made it hard for people to earn a steady income.

Currently, Lespeth is asking for a loan to help her purchase bags of flour, cooking oil, yeast, and sugar, so she can produce delicious donuts to increase her income. She wants to increase her quantity as schools have started up and kids' demands are the highest. This loan will help increase her revenue, which she will use to pay her children's school fees.

Lespeth learned from her father how to make donuts when she was a little girl. She has now been in this business for over 10 years. With her business, Lespeth is motivated to provide the best for her children.
