Liliana Monserrate's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy small chickens and pigs, balanced feed, vitamins, troughs and some materials to repair the fences for the animals.

Liliana Monserrate's story

Liliana Monserrate is 41 years old and she is in a free union relationship. She has 4 children of 18, 14, 11 and 10 years of age who study at school and college. Her partner is a labourer. They live in their own home. They live in La Sequita de Montecristi, a canton known for the famous toquilla straw hats that are appreciated both inside and outside the country. Its inhabitants also work in agriculture.

Liliana Monserrate sells chickens and pigs at home that she raises until they reach a good weight and size. Usually merchants come to her house to buy. She sells them alive and sometimes she sells them slaughtered by weight. Also when there is fish she sells them by weight or by strings (fish with whole bones).

The health crisis was very bad at first since she could not sell, but now little by little she is reactivating it in order to continue generating an income.

This loan is to buy chickens and small pigs, balanced feed, vitamins, troughs and some materials to repair the fences for the animals. Her dream is to have more animals to continue selling and with this to cover household expenses, and that her children can continue studying.
