A loan helped to construct farm structures to host her dairy animals for increased milk production.

Milkah's story

Milkah is a 32-year-old mother of three who is determined to paint a beautiful picture of her future. She lives in Thika, home to the Chania Falls, Fourteen Falls and many attractive places visited by tourists in Kenya. She is a mixed farmer with eight years of farming experience. Through farming, Milkah has turned her life around.

Residents of Thika have been affected by the spread of coronavirus, resulting in them spending more of their income on food, health care and education. Juhudi Kilimo, a Kiva partner, having extended its operations to Thika-Kenya, is playing a very big role in supporting women during this hard time.

Milkah is seeking this loan to construct farm structures where she will host her dairy animals for increased milk production. She plans to use it to improve her dairy production, which has been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. Express your love to a Kenyan mother by lending to her ahead of Valentine’s Day.
