Nuevos Horizontes Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy carts of calabash trees, to process the seeds of the trees and to sell them. The loan will also help in their tortilla business.

Nuevos Horizontes Group's story

These are the entrepreneurs of the "Nuevos Horizontes" (New Horizons) in Chinandega, Nicaragua. One of their notable clients is Olivia (fourth from the right to the left, dressed in a white blouse and beige skirt), who is 43 years old. She is a single mother with 4 children of school age.

She dreams that her children progress forward and in the future they study technical careers, such as to be an electrician or welder. Olivia never went to school and learned to read with the help of her friends.

She needs a loan to buy carts of calabash trees, of which the seeds will be processed to then sell. She will also use the loan to invest in her tortilla business.

For 6 years she has made a living in her own business. She loves her work, because she can see her profits quickly and reliably, and be the owner of her own business.

Her main challenge is the scarcity of supply in certain times of the year, in which case the loan will assist to stockpile greater quantities of supplies in reserve.

Help her to continue forward!
