Jemimah's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy farm inputs which will be used to improve production and generate more income to support her family.

Jemimah's story

Jemimah is a 25-year-old woman who lives in Nyeri. This area enjoys a temperate climate that favors crop farming. She is a mixed farmer who has farmed for many years, enabling her to support her family. Through farming, she has made her life meaningful.

Jemimah is seeking this loan to buy farm inputs which she will use to improve production and generate more income to support her family. The major impediment to the development of small hold farms in Kenya is the lack of short-term credit facilities. Juhudi Kilimo, in partnership with Kiva, is working hard to support smallholder farmers in Kenya through financing, thereby guaranteeing their survival.

Jemimah is hopeful that Kiva lenders will respond positively to her loan request. A loan to her will be vital to achieve food security in her home during this period of global economic recession.
