Batumike Nyatende Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to stock up on 1/2 box of salt fish, which will build up her initial capital.

Batumike Nyatende Group's story

Nsimire is a client of the Hekima microfinance institution and presides over the Batumike Nyatende village group. She is 44 years old, married, and the mother of 12 children, who are all in school. Her partner is out of work.

She sells fish. She started this job 20 years ago with startup funds she received from her husband. Later she started the Hekima program to support her business, during which she progressed bit by bit. With this new loan, she will stock up on ½ box of salt fish, which will build up her initial capital. Her business does not have any problems. She would like to renovate her house and for her children to continue studying.

Finally, she would like to thank Hekima and its partners for the support they bring to owners of unbanked businesses in the context of the global crisis linked to COVID-19. The photo is only of the leader of the group due to COVID-19, out of respect for social distancing measures.
