Tubarikiwe Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to stock up on four buckets of fry, which will build up her original capital.

Tubarikiwe Group's story

Marie is a customer of the Hekima microfinance institution and presides over the Tubarikiwe village group. She is 42-years old, married, and the mother of nine children, who are all in school. Her partner is a guard.

She sells fry. She started this business nine years ago with startup capital she received from her husband. Later she started the Hekima program to support her business, during which she progressed bit by bit. With this new loan, she will stock up on four buckets of fry, which will build up her initial capital. The challenge of her business is linked to bad merchandise.

She would like for her children to study and for her to build up her business. Finally, she would like to thank Hekima and its partners for the support they bring to owners of unbanked businesses in the context of the global crisis related to COVID-19. The photo is only of the leader of the group due to COVID-19, out of respect for social distancing measures.
